Why You Should Plan Early For Black Friday

Black Friday will be here before we know it! If you haven’t started planning for the biggest shopping weekend of the year, we’ve got your back!

In 2021, over 10% of global Black Friday searches were made in the United Kingdom.

Wait ...what?!

Wait …what?!

I know, it’s hard to believe that summer is over for another year – many of us were laid out on a lounger with a cocktail, reading a book and soaking up some rays just a few weeks ago?!

As usual, as autumn begins the clock seems to speed up, meaning that Black Friday will be here before we know it!

No one expects you to have everything figured out just yet and you don’t need to be perfect or have all your ducks in a row. You just need to start somewhere. So let’s get started!

Here are five reasons why you should start planning for Black Friday now:

1. Plan your marketing strategy

If Black Friday were just another day on the calendar, waiting until then would mean having no time for pre-holiday marketing campaigns or special offers designed specifically for this one day of shopping madness (or maybe even none at all!).

But since it’s coming up soon enough anyway and because many stores will offer extra promotions right before it kicks off this year, it makes sense not only from an operational perspective but also from an emotional standpoint too.

The sooner people start thinking about buying gifts early on in November rather than later in December; then they can spare themselves some serious stress later on down the line when everything gets closer without being able to do anything about it except hope that someone else buys something nice first before we do!

2. Work Out Your Budget

We all know that Black Friday is the year’s biggest shopping day. But did you know it’s also the biggest day for bad decisions?

I’m serious – the stress and uncertainty at this time of year can lead to some serious financial mistakes. And let’s face it. We’ve all made a few too many in our lives. The good news is that there are plenty of ways to avoid them and still have a great time out with friends or family.

How? By planning ahead.

Plan your budget. If you wait until Black Friday to decide how much money to spend, you’ll be left with only two options: rely on your credit or go home empty-handed. It’s better to figure out how much you can budget for your Black Friday promotions and how much you’ll spend on marketing.

3. Get Ahead Of Your Competition

Black Friday is a day for the masses, and if you want to get ahead of your competition, you’ve got to start planning now.

The most important thing to do is a comparison with your competitors.

Set up alerts on Black Friday ads that you want to monitor as they pop up in your inbox once they are posted online (or wherever else they might be posted). That way, you can immediately see which stores undercut their competitors and what products are being offered at an especially good price.

By keeping an eye on these ads as they come out, you can also see what products are being discounted heavily and determine whether or not it’s worth spending time researching them further or if there’s another product line that might be better suited for business. It may seem obvious now, but only having one product line available could severely limit how much money your business makes throughout Black Friday weekend—especially if none of those products sells well online!

4. Get to Know Your Audience

Do you know your audience? If not, then how can you plan for them?

You need to know who they are, what they like and dislike, and what their needs are. It would also be beneficial to know where they shop.

Luckily thanks to digital marketing, all this can be tracked.

Knowing your customers’ buying behaviour and demographics will help you determine a plan for Black Friday.

Remember, there’s no such thing as an average customer. Everyone has different needs and wants different things from their shopping experience, which is why digital marketing is so important to pinpoint exactly who they are.

5. Make a Social Media Strategy

Now that you’ve taken steps to prepare your business for Black Friday, it’s time to start thinking about how you will promote your deals. One of the best ways to do this is through social mediaSocial media is an excellent marketing tool because of its potential reach.

When planning for Black Friday promotions on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn, remember not to be too salesy. You must engage with customers by answering questions and giving them valuable tips.

You can also track ROI using tools like Google Analytics which shows how much traffic came from your paid social media ads. So if needed, adjust accordingly ahead of time, so there aren’t any surprises come November 24th.

Planning will help you make your Black Friday marketing strategy run more smoothly.

When you start planning early, you’ll have more time to test ideas and make informed decisions. You can avoid last-minute problems and save money. Most importantly, you’ll get better results.

With the holiday season approaching, it can be tempting to put off planning your Black Friday marketing strategy until the last minute. However, this is not a good idea because you’ll have less time to make changes as needed (and there are always some things that need changing).
